Ethnosport Culture Festival
Cultures of the World Came Together at This Festival
Organized by the World Ethnosport Confederation between June 9-12, the 5th Ethnosport Cultural Festival became the point for world cultures to meet. Over 1,000 international participants from 26 countries in the fields of culture, art, sports, and gastronomy met with visitors to the festival.
Continuing its activities with the theme of reviving traditional sports and games, the World Ethnosports Confederation brought world cultures to Istanbul at the 5th Ethnosports Cultural Festival that was held between June 9-12. Over 1,000 participants from 26 countries working in the fields of culture, art, sports, and gastronomy came together at this festival. The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency’s (TİKA) Universal Tastes stands attracted great interest from the visitors.
From Traditional Sports to Universal Tastes
People from traditional sports, universal tastes, culture, and the arts from the 26 countries that participated in the festival offered visitors unforgettable experiences. The Equestrian Wrestling team from Kazakhstan and the Kabaddi team from Pakistan took part in exciting competitions while performing their traditional sports as the sports guests of this year’s festival. The Karabakh Horses 60-person show team from Azerbaijan was the most interesting group of the festival. The Karabakh Horses team provided visitors with unforgettable and greatly appreciated moments through the breathtaking shows they performed over the four days in the equestrian sports field.
They Conveyed the Cuisines of 20 Countries to the Festival
TIKA Universal Tastes stands were also one of the areas that attracted great attention at the 5th Ethnosports Cultural Festival. 40 chefs from 20 countries introduced flavors from their personal kitchens and offered treats to the festival’s visitors. The visitors who had the chance to sample flavors from world cuisines had an experience they will never forget.
The festival also saw Eurasian Turkish communities exhibiting their lives as carried out in their oba tents and hosted various novices from time to time.
